Custom Composts was named the winner of the overall Western Australian Environment Award for 2005 at a gala presentation on Friday, November 18.

The Minister for the Environment Dr Judy Edwards congratulated Custom Composts for their innovative work in recycling potentially pollutant organic waste into high quality compost.

The Individual Environment Award was presented to Rockingham resident Bob Goodale for his lifelong dedication to caring for the Western Australian environment.

The finalists were of a high standard and the judges commended all entrants on their commitment to building an environmentally sustainable future for all Western Australians.

The 2005 WA Environment Awards acknowledge and reward the dedicated Western Australians who strive to protect our natural environment. It is most important that we recognise the achievements, tireless work, creativity and innovation of these individuals, groups and organisations in finding solutions to the environmental issues that we must resolve.
  Western Australian Environment Awards 2006
The WA Environment Awards aim to recognise the achievements of the members of the Western Australian community that make a difference to our unique environment. The awards have 10 categories and allow entries from community, corporate, individuals and Government agencies.
