Environment awards
Custom Composts was named the winner of the overall Western Australian Environment Award for 2005 at a gala presentation on Friday, November 18.
The Minister for the Environment Dr Judy Edwards congratulated Custom Composts for their innovative work in recycling potentially pollutant organic waste into high quality compost.
The Individual Environment Award was presented to Rockingham resident Bob Goodale for his lifelong dedication to caring for the Western Australian environment.
The finalists were of a high standard and the judges commended all entrants on their commitment to building an environmentally sustainable future for all Western Australians.
Winners were announced in 11 categories. They were:
