The Cockburn Sound Management Council is happy to announce the release of the Environmental Management Plan for Cockburn Sound and its Catchment (EMP).
The Minister for the Environment has approved the Plan in conjunction with the release of the State Environmental (Cockburn Sound) Policy.
The Environmental Management Plan details a five point plan of action towards implementing the State Environmental Policy and coordinating environmental management and planning of Cockburn Sound and its Catchment.
- Protecting the Environmental Values of Cockburn Sound.
- Facilitating Multiple Use of Cockburn Sound and its foreshore.
- Integrating management of the land and marine environments.
- Coordinating research and investigations.
- Monitoring and reporting on performance.
