	The Department of Environment works closely with all levels of government - local, State and federal - producing joint publications with other government agencies, and contributing to State Government policy development and planning. We provide expert advice, and produce guidelines and other publications to help government effectively and appropriately protect and manage our natural resources.

The discussion paper was released for public comment and a public consultation process was undertaken. This report outlines the methodology and findings of the public consultation process for the development of the Strategy.
