	Algae Activity Report The Algae Activity Report is a weekly map and brief description of algal densities in the Swan and canning rivers. Any current alerts are also included. The reports are broadcast as part of the news and weather on Channel 9 each Friday evening and are published each Saturday in the weather section of the West Australian newspaper. Current and archived reports are also available.


	Algae Activity Report - Week 3 July 2009 Algae activity was low to medium in the Swan River and low to high in the Canning River this week. Natural changes in colour, as well as debris, may be observed in the rivers this weekend following recent rain. The Department of Health advises the public not to eat wild shellfish from the Swan and Canning rivers.
