	Welcome to the Department of Environment and Conservation The Department of Environment and Conservation was formed on 1 July 2006 from the amalgamation of the Department of Environment and the Department of Conservation and Land Management. The new department combines the functions of the two agencies and provides leadership on key environmental and conservation issues in Western Australia, including protection, conservation, sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural environment.
